It’s been a LONG time!

London

Hi guys!  It seems like forever since I put a blog post up here.  I’m pretty sure it was when I was in the UK in 2009, and here we are near the end of 2011!!  How fast does time go??  I’ve got all kinds of half written stories that I will eventually fill in the gaps with.  But if you look on the upside, life must have been busy for me to be too busy to blog.  Which is always good I suppose!

So what’s happening now?  Well, I’m heading back to the sunny isle of England for 6 weeks!  (did I say sunny? ok… I’m a comedian).  But truly, if you can get past all that weather stuff & the gloomy attitude of a lot of people, the UK is a pretty awesome place to visit!  You have to give a little respect to a civilisation that has lasted so long on the same spot, and in many cases the same building!  I stayed in one of King Henry VIII’s castles (Thornberry) & it’s meant to be about 500+ years old.  That’s respectable by any standards!  Most majestic still, wonderful food, however the bed could have gotten by without being 500+ years old too.

If you don’t actually “know” me, you may have missed out on my West Aussie roadtrip in 2010, but I shall fill in the gaps with all that later too.  We can call that section “The Missing Years”.  Though for the most part, I am pretty eratic at this kind of stuff anyway.  For me to have down time is pretty rare, as is evident by the cobwebs growing across my studio shelves.  When the dogs food has taken up residence on your workbench, you know you’re working too much!

Which leads me to this trip.  This is a pure holiday.  No research. No work. Except for emergencies… the brain is switching off & recharging the batteries.  Paul having to go home was a good excuse to have a break.  For both of us!  Life has been all kinds of hectic for the past few years.  Now things are slowly getting themselves together, it’s a great time to take a breather before the next hectic stage of my life happens.  Life really does start at 50! ;-)

So hopefully, fingers crossed, I might get more of a chance to blog now.  You never know!
