Having fun in the sun @ Brighton … What sun??

Even as you enter Brighton you can feel the holiday beachside atmosphere. Driving down the main drag it reminded me of being on a movie set. The grandeur of the buildings & the alfresco lifestyle all lent itself to being a great place to spend the summer holidays… that is of course if the sun actually shon!
We wanted to get more of a look around, but finding parking was proving to be a nightmare. So we kept on driving, which wasn’t a bad thing as the countryside was beautiful.
We did stop to get pizza though, and enjoyed a nice meal together before we went shopping for supplies for our journey. We were setting up camp at New Foresst that night, so we needed quite a few supplies.
One of the points of interest of the Brighton landscape was the presence of the old Brighton jetty. There lies a burnt out twisted metal shell of what I am told used to be the Brighton cinema. Aparently it was condemmed for sometime before the fire, which was thought to be a few kids who ‘accidently’ ignited it. You can still tell the shape of the dome, but all that lies there now are a sad reminder of a time gone by.
After spending most of the day in and around Brighton, we now headed off towards New Forest to spend a couple of days there.
Brighton, I would like to revisit you one day!
The drive to New Forest seemed a great time to download some pics from my camera & upload them to my Flickr account. I had pretty good net access as we drove around, but as we were swapping between signals, it wasn’t good enough to upload so many photos with. I got to check email, have a chat with Mum, and upload a couple of photos.
